Please congratulate our iGem team along with their mentor Dr. Harrison from UNC. They competed in their first iGem competition against 44 other high schools from around the world and walked away with an award in “Best Innovation in Measurement” and a nomination for “Best Poster”!! They genetically engineered a bacteria to detect fluoride as a means to eventually be able to sequester and/or bioremediate fluoride from contaminated water.
