We would like to congratulate Rennica Huang. Over spring break, Rennica placed 1st in High School Advanced Biological Sciences in the State Competition of the NC Student Academy of Sciences. As a result, Rennica has qualified to be a 2018 fellow at the American Junior Academy of Science and will attend the annual national conference in Houston, Texas funded by the Burroughs-Wellcome Fund. Rennica's experiment focuses on the survey of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, or "Superbugs" at East and hopes to expand the epidemiology survey to other schools in the area in an effort to aid the local community.
